Day 4? Already? Where did the week go?? Today's topic is how to bring your experience beyond the blog, whether it's writing or simply reading and reviewing.
I love writing, but I don't often share my writing because I'm shy about it. I started by creating a deviantArt account, and posting my poes and snippets of my stories on there. It's not so bad if a complete stranger tells you your writing sucks :P I'm still in the process of editing and perfecting my first draft of my novel, and it will probably not be ready for others to read for years to come. That's just how I am. But I know that by simply blogging on here and my other blog, or writing short poems, I'm still writing. Those small things help to strengthen my writing, which is so important for anything you write! Writing requires writing, so the more you write, the better you get! If you want to be a good writer, you have to keep writing.
Have any great tips? Leave a link below!
Writing is a sore spot in my ass. XD Being plagued by daily bouts of writer's block is so not cool at all. So jealous that you have a first novel draft already. : | Anyways,
ReplyDeleteHappy Day Four of Armchair BEA to you!
My Armchair BEA Day Four entry
Have you tried NaNoWrMo? It's National Novel Writing Month (November). They do it every year. If you haven't tried it, you might like it!
ReplyDeleteCamp NaNoWriMo is also going on right now, with a session in June and one in August.
ReplyDeleteWriting requires writing, so the more you write, the better you get! If you want to be a good writer, you have to keep writing. is something I agree with. I try to write every day, even if it's just 100 words, because that's 100 words I didn't have before, and maybe they'll be useful someday.
I can't believe it's already day 4 either! This week has practically flown by, but it's been super fun to participate in!
ReplyDeleteIf you're interested in doing an online "writing club" I'd definteiyl be interested in joining up! I'm doing Camp NaNoWriMo in August it'd be fun to have a buddy to keep me accountable!

Oh, I love deviantArt, although I mostly go on there to browse through photos and such.
ReplyDeleteA completed first draft is a huge accomplishment. Congrats!
If you have the time, I’d love to hear from you at my armchair BEA post.
I agree with you. If you want to write, then write. I always find it easier to write with a purpose and leave my musings to my journal. Oh, and if there is an online writing club, as posted by Sarah @Breaking the Binding above, I'd love to join!
